Our Pastor

Our Bishop W. Ron Sailor Sr. was consecrated as Bishop March of 2008. He came to Christ the King when we were a small group of sincere believers, who founded and maintained the church and its mission. Under his leadership, Christ the King has been blessed to add thousands to its membership rolls and blessed the lives of many others.

Our Bishop is a native of Atlanta whose entire academic, pastoral and professional career spans over 36 years. He is a much travelled preacher of the gospel whose approachable spirit and down-to-earth teaching has been a blessing to the many thousands who have been in his presence or have met him via television.

As a veteran television, radio and newspaper commentator, Bishop Sailor has been awarded the highest honors of his profession. He is a seven-time winner of the EMMY award for his outstanding performance in television. On three occasions he was named the outstanding television commentator in the Southeastern United States. Bishop Sailor was the first African-American to serve as commentator for the evening news for a major southern television station, when he served in that capacity with WSB-TV Channel 2. He was also the first African-American to host an afternoon television program in Atlanta, when he hosted the “Backtalk” program on WXIA-Television.

Most recently he was consecrated to the Office of Bishop by Bishop Paul S. Morton and other clergy from around the nation.

Bishop Sailor resides in Buford, GA along with his wife, Rev. Marion Sailor. He is the father of 4 sons and 2 daughters.
